Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) is provided by UNIVRS, Inc. (hereinafter the “Company”) to determine the matters related to the handling of personal information and other information acquired by the Company.

Article 1. Definitions

  1. The term “Personal Information” herein means the information set forth in Article 2, paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
  2. The term “User Information” herein means information about users of the website or content provided by the Company, including Personal Information, information related to the identification of users, action history in communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in connection with users or users’ terminals (excluding statistical information).

Article 2. Information to Be Acquired

The main items of Personal Information or User Information to be acquired by the Company shall be as described in each of the following items. Please note that the information items listed below are only examples and that the Company may acquire information other than those listed below through interactions with customers.

  1. Information acquired from users of the Company's website and affiliated companies' websites
    Name, company name, email address, phone number, online identifiers such as cookie ID, browsing history and other service usage status (including access log, IP address, browser information, browser language setting, etc.), content of inquiries, etc.
  2. Information acquired from users of the Company’s content
    Name, address, date of birth, gender, email address, phone number, username, VR terminal identification information, content usage status, purchase history, etc.
  3. Information acquired from participants in the Company’s events, etc.
    Name, company name, affiliation, address, date of birth, email address, phone number, etc.
  4. Information acquired from the Company’s employees, etc.
    Name, address, date of birth, gender, work experience, email address, phone number, etc.

Article 3. Purpose of Use

Information acquired by the Company shall be used for the following purposes in addition to the purposes separately notified by the Company.

  1. Information acquired from users of the Company's website and affiliated companies' websites

    1. Measurement, research, and analysis of the Company's website usage status and implementation results of various measures
    2. Implementation of marketing research and questionnaires
    3. Maintenance, improvement, and troubleshooting of the Company’s website
    4. Information on various services, promotions, campaigns, events, etc. operated by the Company or third parties
    5. Optimization of ad displays and their content
    6. Correction of a breach of the Terms of Use
    7. Notification of changes, etc. to the Terms of Use, the Policy, etc.
    8. Responses to inquiries (including identity verification)
    9. Creation, use, and disclosure of statistical information in a non-personally identifiable form based on information, data, etc. provided by users to the Company
    10. Exercise of rights and fulfillment of obligations based on laws, contracts, rules, the Policy, etc.
    11. Other purposes incidental to the above purposes of use

  2. Information to be acquired from users of the Company’s content

    1. Provision of content by the Company
    2. Maximum billing amount according to the user's age and billing calculations
    3. Succession of the usage status of the Company’s content
    4. Measurement, research, and analysis of the usage status of the Company’s content and implementation results of various measures
    5. Implementation of marketing research and questionnaires
    6. Maintenance, improvement, and troubleshooting of the Company’s content
    7. Information on various services, promotions, campaigns, events, etc. operated by the Company or third parties
    8. Optimization of ad displays and their content

    4. Creation, use, and disclosure of statistical information in a non-personally identifiable form based on information, data, etc. provided by users to the Company
    5. Exercise of rights and fulfillment of obligations based on laws, contracts, rules, the Policy, etc.
    6. Other purposes incidental to the above purposes of use

  4. Information acquired from the Company’s employees, etc.

    1. Employment selection
    2. Contact regarding employment selection
    3. Personnel and labor management
    4. Other purposes incidental to the above purposes of use

Article 4. Provision to Third Parties

The Company shall not, without the prior consent of the information owner, provide Personal Information acquired by the Company to any third party (including third parties outside of Japan); provided, however, that it shall not apply when Personal Information is provided to a third party (including third parties outside of Japan) in the following cases where it is necessary to do so:

  1. Where all or part of the handling of Personal Information is entrusted by the Company to the extent necessary for the achievement of the purpose of use;
  2. Where Personal Information is provided due to a business transfer conducted based on a merger or for other reasons;
  3. Where Personal Information is provided to an affiliated company or the provider of an information collection module;
  4. Where the Company is required to cooperate for the execution of affairs prescribed by laws and regulations by state organs, local public bodies, or persons entrusted by them and the acquisition of consent from the user is likely to interfere with the execution of such affairs;
  5. Where it is approved under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter the “Personal Information Protection Act”) and other laws and regulations.

Article 5. Request for Disclosure, etc.

If the Company receives a request from an information owner for the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, discontinuance of use, or discontinuance of provision to third parties of any Personal Information held by the Company, notification of the purpose of use thereof, or records of provision thereof to third parties, the Company shall respond appropriately without delay after confirming that the request is made by the information owner himself/herself; provided, however, that it shall not apply if the Company is not obliged to disclose information under the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations. Please understand in advance that the disclosure of Personal Information held by the Company or notification of the purpose of use thereof requires the payment of a fee (1,000 yen per case).

Article 6. Correction and Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

  1. If the Company is requested by the information owner (i) to correct the content of Personal Information pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act on the ground that such Personal Information is untrue or (ii) to suspend the use of Personal Information pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act on the ground that the information is used beyond the scope of the purpose of use announced in advance or was collected by fraudulent means or other unjust means, the Company shall conduct the necessary investigation without delay after confirming that the request is made by the information owner himself/herself, and correct the content of the Personal Information or suspend the use of the Personal Information based on the result of the investigation and notify the information owner to that effect. If the Company decides not to correct the Personal Information or suspend the use of the Personal Information, the Company shall notify the information owner to that effect.
  2. If the Company is requested by the information owner to delete his/her Personal Information and the Company thinks that it is necessary to meet such request, the Company shall delete the Personal Information after confirming that the request is made by the information owner himself/herself and shall notify the information owner to that effect.
  3. If the Company is not obliged to perform a correction, etc. or suspension of use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations, the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2 shall not apply.

Article 7. Handling of Cookies

  1. Overview of Cookies

    A cookie is a small text file that contains arbitrary characters that is exchanged between the web server and web browser when a user visits a website, and it is stored on the user’s terminal. By using cookies, we may obtain non-personally identifiable attribute information such as users’ browsing history, service usage history, and location information.
    Users may set their browser to indicate in advance that the website uses cookies, disable cookies, or delete saved cookies.

    • Please note that the functions available on the website may be limited if users refuse the use of cookies or delete cookies.
    • To opt-out of the cookies set by affiliated companies (so-called third-party cookies) on the Company's website, content, etc., please see the “opt-out” page provided by each company.

  2. Google Analytics

    The Company uses Google Analytics, provided by Google. The Company may receive the results of Google's analysis of users’ browsing history collected by cookies set by the Company or Google and use them to understand how users are using the Company’s services as well as to improve the Company's services. Article 9. Procedures for Amendment of the Privacy Policy

The Company may amend the Policy as needed; provided, however, that if the amendment of the Policy requires the consent of users under laws and regulations, the amended Policy shall apply only to the users who have consented to the amendment by the method prescribed by the Company. When amending the Policy, the Company shall announce or notify users of it by posting the date of enforcement of the amended Policy and the content of amendment on the Company’s website or by other appropriate means.

プライバシーポリシー

株式会社ＵＮＩＶＲＳ（以下「当社」といいます。）は、当社が取得する個人情報その他の情報の取扱いについて、以下のとおりプライバシーポリシー（以下「本ポリシー」といいます。）を定めます。

第1条（定義）

  1. 本ポリシーにおいて、「個人情報」とは、個人情報の保護に関する法律第２条第１項に定められた情報を意味するものとします。

第3条（利用目的）

当社が取得する情報は、当社が別途通知した目的のほか、以下の目的で利用します。

  1. 当社ウェブサイトその他提携先ウェブサイトのユーザーから取得する情報

第4条（第三者提供）

当社は、当社が取得した個人情報について、あらかじめ本人の同意を得ないで、第三者（日本国外にある者を含みます。）に提供しません。ただし、以下に掲げる必要があり第三者（日本国外にある者を含みます。）に提供する場合はこの限りではありません。

  1. 当社が利用目的の達成に必要な範囲内において個人情報の取扱いの全部又は一部を委託する場合
  2. 合併その他の事由による事業の承継に伴って個人情報が提供される場合
  3. 携先又は情報収集モジュール提供者へ個人情報が提供される場合
  4. 国の機関もしくは地方公共団体又はその委託を受けた者が法令の定める事務を遂行することに対して協力する必要がある場合であって、ユーザーの同意を得ることによって当該事務の遂行に支障を及ぼすおそれがある場合
  5. その他、個人情報の保護に関する法律（以下「個人情報保護法」といいます。）その他の法令で認められる場合

第5条（開示請求等）

当社は、本人から、当社が保有する個人情報及び個人情報の利用目的の通知、第三者提供記録の開示、訂正・追加・削除、利用の停止・第三者提供の停止の請求等を求められたときは、本人からのご請求であることを確認の上で、遅滞なく適切に対応を行います。ただし、個人情報保護法その他の法令により、当社が開示の義務を負わない場合は、この限りではありません。なお、当社が保有する個人情報の開示又は個人情報の利用目的の通知につきましては、手数料（１件あたり１，０００円（税込））を頂戴しておりますので、あらかじめ御了承ください。

第6条（個人情報の訂正及び利用停止等）

  1. 当社は、（１）個人情報が真実でないという理由によって個人情報保護法の定めに基づきその内容の訂正を求められた場合、及び（２）あらかじめ公表された利用目的の範囲を超えて取扱われているという理由又は偽りその他不正の手段により収集されたものであるという理由により、個人情報保護法の定めに基づきその利用の停止を求められた場合、本人からのご請求であることを確認の上で遅滞なく必要な調査を行い、その結果に基づき、個人情報の内容の訂正又は利用停止を行い、その旨を本人に通知します。なお、訂正又は利用停止を行わない旨の決定をしたときは、本人に対しその旨を通知いたします。
  2. 当社は、本人の個人情報について消去を求められた場合、当社が当該請求に応じる必要があると判断した場合、本人からのご請求であることを確認の上で、個人情報の消去を行い、その旨を本人に通知します。
  3. 個人情報保護法その他の法令により、当社が訂正等又は利用停止等の義務を負わない場合は、第１項及び第２項の規定は適用されません。

第7条（Ｃｏｏｋｉｅの取扱い）

  1. Ｃｏｏｋｉｅの概要

    Ｃｏｏｋｉｅとは、任意の文字が書かれた小さなテキストファイルのことで、ユーザーがウェブサイトを閲覧した際に、ウェブサーバとブラウザとの間でやりとりされ、ユーザーの端末に保存されるものです。これを利用することにより、ユーザーの閲覧履歴、サービス利用履歴、位置情報等、個人が特定できない属性情報を取得することがあります。
    ユーザーは、ブラウザの設定により、事前にＣｏｏｋｉｅを使用しているサイトであることを表示したり、Ｃｏｏｋｉｅの無効化及び保存済みのＣｏｏｋｉｅを削除したりすることができます。

    ※Ｃｏｏｋｉｅの利用を拒否し又はＣｏｏｋｉｅを削除した場合、ウェブサイトでご利用いただくことができる機能が制限される可能性がありますのでご了承ください。
    ※当社ウェブサイト又はコンテンツ等において提携先企業が設置するＣｏｏｋｉｅ（いわゆる３ｒｄ Ｐａｒｔｙ Ｃｏｏｋｉｅ）のオプトアウトについては、各社が設けるオプトアウトページをご確認ください。

    当社は、Ｇｏｏｇｌｅが提供するＧｏｏｇｌｅアナリティクスを利用しています。当社は、Ｇｏｏｇｌｅが当社又はＧｏｏｇｌｅの設定するＣｏｏｋｉｅをもとにしてユーザーの閲覧履歴を収集し、分析した結果を受け取り、ユーザーの利用状況の把握や、当社のサービスに利用する場合があります。ＧｏｏｇｌｅによるＧｏｏｇｌｅアナリティクスにおけるデータの取扱いについては、同社のサイトをご覧ください。

第9条（プライバシーポリシーの変更手続）

当社は、必要に応じて、本ポリシーを変更します。ただし、法令上ユーザーの同意が必要となるような本ポリシーの変更を行う場合、変更後の本ポリシーは、当社所定の方法で変更に同意したユーザーに対してのみ適用されるものとします。なお、当社は、本ポリシーを変更する場合には、変更後の本ポリシーの施行時期及び内容を当社のウェブサイト上での表示その他の適切な方法により周知し、又はユーザーに通知します。
